Abstract
A mononuclear copper(II)-bis(2,3-pyridinedicarboxylate) precursor has been applied as a building block for the bottom up generation of a new discrete dicopper(II) derivative as well as two novel 2D and 3D heterometallic Cu(II)/Zn(II) and Cu(II)/Gd(III) metal-organic networks. The obtained products have been fully characterized and their structural and topological features are discussed in detail.186
