Abstract
Study of DNA binding by fluorimetric methods exposed that copper complexes (CasiopeÃnas®) interact with DNA by several binding modes; the mode of binding and its intensity are influenced by both ligands. The steric hindrance, number of aromatic or pseudo-aromatic rings, unoccupied coordination positions, and stability play important roles in the interaction.54
