Abstract
In this study, the synthesis of novel, symmetrical, tetrasubstituted metallo-phthalocyanines (MPc; MÂ =Â zinc(II), indium(III)) bearing four (3,5-difluorophenyl)ethynyl units has been reported. The singlet oxygen generation, photodegradation quantum yields, fluorescence quantum yields, and fluorescence lifetime values of these complexes were also determined in DMF. The effects of the substitution with fluoroalkynyl-functionalized groups on these parameters were also compared along with the previously synthesized MPcs.58
