Abstract
Spiro-N3P3[(O2C12H8)2(OC6H6N-3)2] and its Ru(II) complex were synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic methods. The structure of the ligand was determined by X-ray crystallography. Both the ligand and its complex have been screened for antibacterial activities. Also, the catalytic activity of the complex was investigated for transfer hydrogenation reactions.
