Abstract
Partial fluoride abstraction from two-coordinate group 11 metal fluorides affords salts of fluoride-bridged dinuclear cations. Structural characterization of each reveals a bent geometry about fluoride. The gold complex forms carbon-fluorine bonds through halide displacement, or through addition across an allene CC bond to form a diaurated allylic fluoride.93
