Abstract
Complexation of phosphorylated salicylaldimines with Cu(II) ions selectively provides four-, five-, and six-coordinate copper(II) complexes, including an unusual mixed iminate-aldehydate derivative used as a precursor for unsymmetrical Schiff base complexes.
