Abstract
Four nickel(II) ethanedithiolate complexes [RN(PPh2)2]Ni[SCH(CH3)CH(CH3)S] [RÂ =Â CH(CH3)2, 5; CH2CH(CH3)2, 6; CH2CH2CH2CH3, 7; CH2Ph, 8] were prepared by the condensation reactions of [RN(PPh2)2]NiCl2 with 2,3-butanedithiol in the presence of triethylamine in 44-71% yields. The new complexes 5-8 were characterized by spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.
