The greenhouse gas carbon dioxide can be turned into a valuable resource by reduction to methanol. One catalytic carbon dioxide reduction with hydrogen gas is studied and discussed in this paper. The highest reaction barrier in the catalytic cycle is computed to be 112.4Â kJ/mol.
