Abstract
To investigate the photoluminescence properties of Cu(I) complexes, two binuclear metallacycle-based complexes, {Cu(pbmb)(ClO4)}n (1, 2D) and {Cu(pbmb)Br}n (2, 1D), were constructed from a V-shaped flexible benzotriazole-based ligand. Photoluminescence measurements indicate that with temperature reduction, the increased lifetimes in the millisecond range and the large stokes shift agree with strong intense phosphorescence emissions of 1 and 2.
