Abstract
Magnetic susceptibility measurements revealed paramagnetic behavior with negative values of the Curie-Weiss temperature. The larger values of the effective magnetic moment of 4.92 μB/f.u. compared to the spin-only value of 3.87 μB/f.u. for the high-spin Co2+ ion indicate a significant orbital contribution in the compounds under study.
