Abstract
In a one-pot synthesis, three new thienyl phosphines have been synthesized. Subsequent reaction with elemental sulfur or selenium has led to the isolation of six thienyl phosphine chalcogenides. The functionalization of the thienyl moiety of these ligands provides chemical versatility in new metal and metal chalcogenide complexes.
