Abstract
Heterometallic complexes of formulae [CoII4LnIII4(OH)4(chp)10(acac)6]·solv (Ln = Y, Gd, Tb and Dy; solv = 0.5MeCN or Et2O, where Hchp = 6-chloro-2-hydroxypyridine and acacâ = acetylacetonate, together with the heptadecanuclear cluster [CoII11DyIII6(OH)14(chp)14(piv)8(NO3)4(MeCN)4]·2H2O (5) have been structurally and magnetically characterized with slow magnetization relaxation evident in the Dy cases.
