Abstract
We have been studying the structural, magnetic and electrochemical properties of the [PMo12O37(OH)3{Ln(H2O)5(Fe(CN)6)0.25}4] systems (Ln = Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb), a new class of multilayered networks combining cyanometalates with polyoxometalates (POM) units. All the compounds (Ln = Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb) exhibit paramagnetism due to each LnIII centre, while the electrochemistry shows the reversible Mo(V)/Mo(VI) redox behaviour.
