Abstract
Heterospin chains, [Cu(L)2(NOpy2)]n; LÂ =Â tfac (1), hfac (2), and dfhd (3), connected with aminoxyl-pyridine magnetic coupler, NOpy2, were prepared. The values of the spin exchange parameter J/kB between the aminoxyl and the copper ions for 1, 2, and 3 were 5.7, 32, and 55Â K, respectively, and depended on the bond lengths of Cu-Npy.
