Abstract
In this work, the effect of high temperature on structural properties of pure zirconium have been investigated. In-situ X-ray diffraction analysis of the oxide layer formed at temperature window 25-600â¯Â°C on pure zirconium were performed. Conducted experiment aimed at investigation of the zirconia phases developed on surface of the metallic substrate. Based on the conducted studies, possible stress state (during heating, continuous oxidation and cooling), cell parameters and HWHM factor were analyzed. A tetragonal and monoclinic phases peak shifts and intensities change were observed, suggesting that different phases react in different way upon temperature effect.
