Abstract
The supramolecular structure of 1,3-bis(3-hydroxymethylpyridinium)propane (1) and its tetrabromozincate (2), and tetrabromocuprate (3) is determined by O-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds and numerous CH⋯Br contacts. The IR, Raman, UV-vis, 1H and 13C NMR spectra are discussed.154
