Abstract
The preparation of the oxo vanadium(IV) complex of 2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18-octachloro-5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-tolylporphyrin) with formula [V(Cl8TTP)O] is described. The presence of chlorine atoms at the β-pyrrole positions of the porphyrin have a very important role on the electronic and structural properties of [V(Cl8TTP)O].179
