Abstract
Mer,trans-[RuIICl3(NO+)(L)2] type complexes (LÂ =Â pyridine derivative) are versatile species to release nitric oxide in solution. A new RuII-NO+ core complex and its derivative containing a solvent molecules (CH3CN) that replaces the NO ligand, mer,trans-[RuIIICl3(N-NCCH3)(L)2], have been synthesized via UV radiation, and characterized via XRD.
