Abstract
- Fluorine coordination in the zinc bismuth phosphate glass was studied by using F K-edge XANES.
- Fluorine ions selectively coordinated to both the zinc and bismuth ions in the 55ZnO-20Bi2O3-25P2O5 glass.
- Fluorine ions did not coordinate to phosphorus ions.
- The 6s-6p transition energy of Bi3+ increased with the fluorination.
