Abstract
In the present paper we report the effect of electric field on the semiconducting parameters (activation energy and pre-exponential factor) in glassy samples of Se90Sb10 â xAgx (where x = 0, 2, 4, 6, 8). The temperature dependence of d.c. conductivity is studied at different electric fields. In a particular composition, at low electric field upto 103 V/cm neither activation energy nor pre-exponential factor depends on electric field as expected in the case of ohmic region. However, at higher electric field where super ohmic region is observed, activation energy and pre-exponential factor both vary with electric field. A correlation between activation energy and pre-exponential factor is also found in these glassy alloys, which is explained by Yelon and Movaghar model.
