Abstract
⺠Phase equilibria in the MgO-CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 system are established for 120 compositions of industrial interest. ⺠Liquidus temperature tends to increase with increasing silica content and decreasing alkaline earth-to-alumina ratio. ⺠Liquidus temperature decreases with [MgO] = [CaO] due to suppression of anorthite and cordierite formation.
