Abstract
► Novel Ni-free Zr-based BMGs with low Cu contents (~ 10 at.%) are developed. ► They exhibit high glass-forming ability (dc = 16 mm) and good mechanical properties. ► They exhibit good corrosion resistance and biocompatibility (cellular behavior). ► The good biocompatibility is attributed to their amorphous structure and unique composition. ► The BMGs can serve as potential candidates for biomedical applications.
