Abstract
⺠Elastic properties of binary lead phosphate glasses were studied by ultrasound. ⺠Addition of PbO in glass network increased the densities of glasses. ⺠Pb2 + acts as a network modifier and reduces the NBOs in the network. ⺠The rigidity, velocity and elasticity of glasses increased with increasing PbO.
