Abstract
⺠Physical and structural properties of BaBiBO4:Fe2O3 glasses were studied. ⺠Bi0 metal atoms are formed in all iron doped glasses. ⺠Agglomerated Bi0 metal atoms caused less density and green color in F5 glass. ⺠Fe3+/F2+ redox ratio is decreased at higher concentrations of iron. ⺠NBOs, BO3, BiO6 and FeO6 symmetry units are favored at higher Fe2O3 wt.%.
