Abstract
UO2 can be successfully dissolved in Fe-containing ILs with the help of DMSO to form UO2Cl42−. The rare earth elements of Sm, Eu, and Gd can be separated from uranium in the IL, and meanwhile, the recovery of dissolved uranyl species and Fe-containing IL can also be achieved.194
