Abstract
The effects of the solution and aging treatment on the microstructure, the tensile properties at room-temperature and 650 °C and the stress rupture of GH4169 superalloy were investigated. The results show that after solution at 980 °C and aging at 720 °C plus 620 °C, both the yield strength and ultimate strength of the superalloy at room-temperature and 650 °C are highest; after solution at 960 °C and aging at 720 °C plus 620 °C, the stress rupture life of the superalloy tested at 650 °C and 725 MPa is the longest; the solution treatment can adjust the amount of δ phase, primary strengthening γ″ phase precipitates upon aging at 720 °C, while assistant strengthening γ′ phase precipitates at 620 °C.
