Abstract
We calculate the coherent and incoherent production of J/Ï in PbPb ultraperipheral collisions (UPCs). The rapidity distributions of J/Ï in UPCs is the product of the photon flux distribution and the photon-nucleus cross section. The equivalent photon flux is computed in light-cone perturbation theory. The photon-nucleus cross section is calculated in the dipole model. We assume that two-gluon exchange contribution is coherent photonproduction cross section and the large-Nc contribution provides an additional contribution to incoherent photonproduction cross section in photon-nucleus scattering. Our numerical results for the rapidity distributions of J/Ï production in PbPb UPCs at sNN=2.76TeV are compared to the experimental data measured by the ALICE Collaboration.
