Abstract
The knowledge of the parton distribution function (PDF) plays a key role in the study of various standard model processes and the search for new physics processes at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). An important variable which is used to constrain the parameters of PDF is the lepton charge asymmetry in the decay of W-bosons to an electron or a muon. We present the measurement of the lepton charge asymmetry in proton-proton collisions at the LHC in events with W-bosons using data collected by the CMS experiment in 2010 and 2011 at the center-of-mass energy =7TeV.
