- Cadmium LOAEL dose produce changes in serum and hepatic lipidome.
- Liver lipidome modification is depending on the accumulation of Cd in the liver of Wistar rats.
- Cadmium-exposed rats show features similar to a human metabolic syndrome.
- Cadmium exposure provokes an atherogenic phenotype which is evidentiated by small LDL and HDL alterations.
- In cadmium LOAEL dose exposition, small HDL subfractions increases and correlate with a hypertriglyceridemia.
