Abstract
⺠We determine microscopic rate constants for processive RSCt translocation. ⺠We report values for ATP coupling stoichiometries. ⺠RSCt is an inefficient motor, using several ATP per forward step. ⺠RSCt is capable of disrupting the streptavidin-biotin linkage.
