Abstract
⺠Human IgG is comprised of four subclasses and multiple heavy and kappa chain allotypes. ⺠Immune protection is afforded by immune complex activation of inflammatory cascades. ⺠Inflammatory cascades are activated through IgG-Fc receptors and complement C1q. ⺠The glycoform of IgG antibodies influences IgG-Fc receptor and C1q activation. ⺠The long catabolic half life is independent of normal glycoforms.
