Abstract
⺠Niemann-Pick disease Type C and cystic fibrosis display abnormal storage of free cholesterol. ⺠Cholesterol storage affects many cellular functions and signaling pathways. ⺠Finding disease commonalities may lead to new therapeutic targets for both diseases.
