Abstract
⺠Merozoite surface protein 2 (MSP2), a malaria surface antigen, forms amyloid-like fibrils in solution. ⺠EGCG disaggregates pre-formed MSP2 fibrils into soluble oligomers. ⺠EGCG remodels MSP2 fibrils by altering the β-sheet-like structure of the fibrils. ⺠Other flavonoids, such as baicalein and resveratrol, do not disaggregate MSP2 fibrils.
