Abstract
⺠The Rev and integrase (IN) proteins of the HIV-1 interact with each other. ⺠Rev inhibits IN and by that limits the integration events to 1-2 per cell. ⺠Inhibition of the Rev-IN interaction leads to apoptosis of HIV-1 infected cells. ⺠We describe a structural docking model for the Rev-IN complex. ⺠In binds the Rev monomer via two distinct binding interfaces.
