Abstract
⺠By using RNA interference, fluid secretion from the isolated guinea-pig pancreatic duct cells is markedly decreased to â¼50% of control. ⺠Both CFTR and aquaporin 1 expression were decreased when CFTR expression was inhibited by RNA interference. ⺠This reduction of fluid secretion can be seen as a cause of developing chronic pancreatitis.
