Abstract
The graphical abstract shows the prospective cross section of Lpg1974 seen perpendicular to the cell surface in two versions, one with the N-terminal extension (Lpg1974) and one without the leader sequence. The structure of the channel was adapted according to the structure of hVDAC1 (PBD ID: 2JK4.pdb). The right panel shows the voltage dependence of the two versions of Lpg1974, the one with (Lpg1974) and the one without the N-terminal extension (Lpg1974Δ1-21).149
