Abstract
⺠The hydrolysis of membrane phospholipids by RVV acidic PLA2 was studied. ⺠Catalytic and membrane damaging activities of RVVPLA2âI are correlated. ⺠The RVVPLA2âI preferentially hydrolyzed PC of mitochondrial membrane. ⺠GC analysis of fatty acids released from different membranes demonstrated distinct results. ⺠Differential membrane damage suggests the presence of PLA2-sensitive membrane domains.
