Abstract
⺠Ribosome stall induces rapid decay of aberrant mRNAs and its products. ⺠A poly(A) tail plays a crucial role in nonstop mRNA quality control. ⺠Dom34:Hbs1 dissociates stalled ribosome and stimulates nonstop mRNA decay. ⺠E3 ubiquitin ligases are involved in proteasomal degradation of arrest product. ⺠A quality control system for aberrant ribosomes composed of nonfunctional rRNAs.
