Abstract
⺠Arg403 is important for structural integrity of 12/15-LOX. ⺠Side-chain of Arg403 contributes to stability of LOX's tertiary structure. ⺠Substrate binding to Arg403 might be associated with α2-helix rearrangement. ⺠Mutation of Arg403 leads to distortion of catalytic properties of LOX enzyme.
