Abstract
⺠Phospholipids play critical roles in nuclear structure and function. ⺠The lipin PA phosphatases localize to the cytoplasm and nucleus of many cell types. ⺠Lipins regulate gene expression of lipid metabolic enzymes through multiple mechanisms. ⺠Lipins play critical roles in nuclear architecture in many eukaryotes. ⺠Nuclear lipins may be important for the maintenance of cellular lipid homeostasis.
