Abstract
⺠Lysosomal storage diseases may be either inherited or acquired. ⺠Drug induced phospholipidosis is a form of acquired lysosomal storage disease. ⺠The mechanism for and pathological significance of phospholipidosis is not well understood. ⺠LPLA2 is a recently characterized lysosomal hydrolase. ⺠LPLA2 is a target for amiodarone induced phospholipidosis.
