Abstract
⺠Knockout of Stard10 enhanced biliary secretion and fecal excretion of bile acids. ⺠ASBT expression was impaired in the gallbladder and small intestine of Stard10â/â. ⺠PPARα-target genes such as Cyp8b1 were down-regulated in the liver of Stard10â/â. ⺠The PPARα activity was affected by the expression of STARD10 in mouse hepatoma cells. ⺠STARD10 is involved in the PPARα-mediated regulation of bile acid homeostasis.
