Abstract
⺠Ligands for RARs promoted cholesterol efflux from macrophages by increasing ABCA1/G1. ⺠RARs regulated ABCG1 transcription driven by dual promoters. ⺠Its transcription involved LXR-responsive element-dependent pathways. ⺠RARα activated ABCG1 promoter by binding to LXR-responsive element.
