Abstract
⺠Retinoids, derivatives of vitamin A, control fundamental cellular processes. ⺠In this review, we examine the complex effects of retinoids on the vasculature. ⺠Retinoids modulate vascular injury, inflammation, and thrombosis in atherogenesis. Further work is needed to define the scope of retinoid effects on vascular disease.
