Abstract
⺠It clearly demonstrated that estrogen upregulates both apoAI and apoM expressions. ⺠Estrogen enhanced apoM expression with a dose- and time-dependent manner in cells. ⺠This up-regulative effect is mediated via the estrogen receptor. ⺠The cellular observations were further confirmed in animal models.
