Abstract
⺠ABCA2 expression reduced membrane, total, free- and cholesterol ester levels. ⺠ABCA2 expression reduced cholesterol efflux to cyclodextrin and ApoE3. ⺠ABCA2 expression reduced esterification low-density lipoprotein-derived cholesterol. ⺠ABCA2 expression reduced low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) levels. ⺠Silencing of endogenous ABCA2 expression increased LDLR protein levels.
