Abstract
⺠Dietary n-6 PUFA deprivation downregulated cPLA2 and COX-2 in rat brain. ⺠Dietary n-6 PUFA deprivation upregulated iPLA2 and 15-LOX in rat brain. ⺠These changes are opposite to n-3 PUFA deprivation in rat brain. ⺠These changes would tend to maintain homeostasis of brain AA and DHA function.
