Abstract
⺠We applied information theory and CART analysis on probability of prostate-biopsy. ⺠About 14% of patients could avoid unnecessary biopsies without false-negative results. ⺠Our CART analysis based on the information theory had simple splits. ⺠The degree of uncertainty on laboratory results could be helpful for making decision.
