Abstract
⺠PCSK9 plays a critical role in circulating LDL cholesterol concentrations. ⺠Periodontitis patients demonstrated higher PCSK9 concentrations than control subjects. ⺠No difference of the LDL cholesterol concentrations was observed between two groups. ⺠We show for the first time the association between periodontitis and serum PCSK9.
