Abstract
⺠We detected an increased number of preanalytical mistakes (PE) in our area. ⺠The major number are samples provided by primary care centers. ⺠We made a study with an intervention that was an educational program focused on nurses. ⺠The incidence of several types of PEs increased after the educational intervention. ⺠We intend to continue this research with a detailed analysis of error causes.
